Look out all Aussie's here comes the Cajun Crew a/k/a Louisiana Coonies. We leave in less than 48 hrs and cannot wait. Will arrive on the 9th, board the Spirit of Freedom on the 13th, Calypso on the 18th and Poseidon on the 20th. Thanks to everyone on SB for all the advice and help in planning this trip.:kiss2::kiss2:

I hope you have a fantastic time! From what I've heard the SOF is a great boat. Be sure to let us know how it all went when you get back.

Are you visiting any other places in oz, or just diving?

Cheers,
Rohan.

We will be spending some extra time in Cairns &Port Douglas and plan to do a Kuranda Tour including the train and skyrail, an evening at Tjabuaki Aboriginal Culture Park with dinner, the day trip with David Ambrust, the Sunday market in Port Douglas and whatever else we can manage to cram in besides the three dive trips. Any local insite and suggestions appreciated!

Wow, that is something to look forward to. We almost did Sidney and Aires (sp?) rock this trip....looked into the Quantas 3 stop pass, but just got too complicated and we decided to concentrate on diving and staying in Queensland

Have a great time! Hopefully you'll get to visit the West Coast on your next trip and we can catch up :)

lucky timing (for you) with the aussie dollar dropping... last month it was at 93c for every US dollar and today its about 74c

enjoy and travel safe!
