Mmmm, interesting...

Anyways, I understand you still say Pc's better, it's true that it is easier to find PC software than Mac softs, but you can now very easily switch your files from Mac to PC.

It's not that the PC is necessarily better, but, in America anyway, business runs on Microsoft and PCs.

I must be really lucky, cause in the 6 years I've had various PC's I've only had one crash (stupid .dll crap)

I don't understand why the 17" screen costs so much more?? Is it really that much more expensive for the company to make bigger screens, or are you paying for the prestige??

17" is not the reson for MAC being $$$$$$$$ but

packing 17" in a 1" casing that weights 6.8 lbs takes some Engineering work.

not to mention the speedier than the standard firewire connection on the laptop and the fiber optic light sensor on the keyboard.

APple is good for innovation, Microsoft is a good legal thief of these technology.

1st GUI = apple, 1st mouse = apple. Firewire or IEEE 1394 = Apple.

you are paying for the innovation.

if i have $$$ i will buy the 17" one but equiping myself with my own scuba gear this summer already take a toll on my pocket :(

Have you tried Mac OSX yet ?
I have been running it at work for 12 months now, after coming from an IBM PC, My Mac has not had a single error or crash with the operating system or the Applications. in the entire 12 months I have been runnig it.

My PC used to fall over once or twice a week at least.

my friend bought one and he reckons that is crap, his has crashed a few times, requiring the mack equiv of the windows 3 finger slaute (power off)

This contraption I have in my office is junk. I have a Dell at home and it runs circles around this thing .

I never even heard of it before. All that it reads on the case is "ultra 52x" I haven't a clue who makes this computer. It runs Window 98.

I need a dell dude and dudettes,

Hmmm... I'm really not sure about the 'largest laptop screen ever' claim. I'm willing to believe it IS the largest MAC laptop screen though.

I saw an add for a PC format laptop once that had at least a 19" screen a few years ago. I wanted it in the WORST way.

It wasn't a well known name brand model but it was very large. I remember one of the selling points was that it had a full size keyboard (with number pad).

Since the top half of the laptop was so big (footprint), there was room for the full keyboard in the bottom half. I think it was no more than 2.5 to 3 inches thick when closed. I'm sure you would have had to buy a bag from the manufaturer as no laptop bag made would have fit this beast. It was probably prety heavy as well.

I remember it had a rediculously high price tag. I think it was primarily aimed at the traveling presentation market (business/sales) but then PC projectors at reasonable prices became available and worked just fine with smaller (much cheaper) laptops.
