Looe Key next weekend

Hi Conchers!

Amy and I are staying with a friend down in Key West next weekend. We're scheduled to go out with Looe Key Divers (800.566.3539) for a three tank dive Saturday morning (the 9th).

Any Conchers going to be in the area?

I didn't (my buddy made the reservation), but, I figured I'd go look. I called them and got their web site.

They are: Looe Key Resort & Dive Center.

TWICE I've signed up with Looe Key Divers, and was blown out once and cancelled (lack of divers) the second time. One of these days... not next weekend tho... have fun!

Ah, the 800 number you posted didn't match up with the one I have. I worked on their boat last summer and my boat is out on their dock. Really quality bunch of people. You need to get in touch with me when you're here, I live less than 5 miles from the resort.

Mike, I do run a 6-pack boat that only needs 2 divers to run, just so you know

I dove with Looe Key Resort about 2 years ago. We were there for the underwater music festival. I had a great time. We had a quality crew on the boat. The sold hot dogs and candy bars for $1 each.

Be prepared to give up your C-Card when you sign in. They hold your C-Card while you're diving, and you pick it up when you hand in your bracelet at the end of the dive. They have a very strict diver accounting system. I hear a lot of complaints about that, but... if it works for them... GREAT!

I had an excellent experience with them. I'll dive with them again.

Thanks for the heads up. Knowing what to expect in advance, I always roll with whatever. It's the surprises that get me.
