Long SITs on Cobra?

My Cobra logs what seem to be very long surface interval times (recently it's shown 62, 42, 46, and 71 hours). The times are all accurate, I'm just surprised it would continue to count such long surface intervals when no fly time has expired and all I've done is pretty simple recreational dives in air mode (35 to 60 foot max depths, 45 to 60ish minutes bottom time, no deco, no fast ascents, nothing unusual/dangerous/etc). I looked through the manual and if it said how long is normally recorded for maximum SIT I missed it.

My guess is that it simply logs the SI time no matter how long or short it is, but that as a practical matter such long times do not have any effect on your computed no-deco time or no-fly time. It's my understanding that after that many hours, all compartments in most any deco model would be totally washed out.

It "times out" after 99 hours, 59 minutes.
