I'm slow. I have been watching the dive boats and I haven't seen anyone using the long hose, therefore I haven't SEEN any of the before, between, and after dive stowage of the long hose. Is there any video of how to stow the hose when not diving? I'm a visual person.

Cheers and Thanks -

KISS (again) Coil the long hose, on the final wrap put the 2nd stage through the loops, hang the loops over the 1st stage.

No muss, no fuss, nothing extra required

While I think that probably works great for stowing, I was kind of looking for somewhere where I could put it, don the bp, unclip / unhook / unroll the long hose, and away we go. Without having to mess with it while donning.

I think I've got it worked out. I'll take some pics and post later.

It would be nice to look at other people in my area, but haven't met anyone yet that does the long hose or bp/w. Hence my time on SB...

When I put my BP/W on, I hang the octo around my neck, unclip the long hose, and wrap it around myself in the usual manner.

When its time to put on your BC or BP/W take it off the first stage (still coiled) and finish gearing up. (t will hang neatly by your side. When you're ready, unhook the 2nd from the coil and finish.

I guess I'm not clear on how it's "hooked" in the first place. I get "coil it", but I don't quit get how
on the final wrap put the 2nd stage through the loops
keeps the coil all together.
Again I'm a visual person. :)

I have an OMS bungee wing. I clip the second stage on the right chest D ring. then take the remaining myflex hose and route it through the wing bungees same as rigging a stage. When I get into the water unclip the regulator. One pull and the hose comes out.

Here's how I did mine so far. Not exactly how sure it works in the real world as I haven't been able to dive it yet, but it seems ok.

I have a bungee wrapped around my primary second stage as in the video I posted previously tied to a bolt snap (1st pic)

I can pull the bungee off (as shown in the video) and clip the bolt snap to right d-ring when I'm in the rig (2nd pic)

I just coil / wrap the hose up and put the bungee through the coil to clip to the right d-ring when I'm not in the rig (3rd and 4th pic)

I may have to undue the bungee through the bolt snap if the hose becomes uncoiled, but won't know until I test it out. As long as it doesn't touch the ground when donning / doffing or come untangled as I don, I think it'll work fine. Going back to the pool later this week to give it a try.

I coil it, clip it to R D-ring, don BP/W, put on necklaced 2nd/octo, walk to water, un-clip it, un-coil it, put it around canister, then neck, clip it (or not), don gauges from oversized double-ender-on L D- ring....etc.
