I have just finished my open water cert. I live in Lompoc and I know there is a dive club. does anybody know where they meet when they meet etc

Ron Firestone a one time had a Dive Shop there... Might want to look him up.
I recall that Ron also had a plumbing business next door to the shop.
Vandenburg AFB had a dive club...Have not heard much about it in several years.
Santa Maria Dive club folded many years ago...The members became Square dancers--

Sam, I think you mean Ron Fairbanks at OceanSports. I think he is only open Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
There is a club on base, but I don't think you have to be in the AF to be a member.
My butchered spelling of the club is "Aqualeers". I don't have a copy of the CA Diving News handy, but they may have contact information for them in the clubs section. I think the Diving News is online now, so you may be able to look it up online.

To our knowledge the Vandenberg Aqualliers are not meeting anymore. We haven't heard from them since 2008. But this is their website: aqualliers.com
Your best bet would be Paradise Dive Club even though that is in Santa Barbara. Paradise Dive Club Santa Barbara, CA

Just a quick heads up on the Paradise Dive Club. Our meeting location is changing this month, the new location is TBD. You should keep an eye on the site for updated information.

There is also a Lompoc dive club. Can't remember the name but Ron Fairbanks has contact information in his dive shop--in lompoc. They don't advertise very well, I've been going to join but just haven't got around to it.
