Do a search for Dive Log Software, or something like that. This topic has been visited before.

I use the Suunto Dive Manager because I have a Vytec. However, I think there are others that store more information and are not very expensive. I haven't used them in a while so I can't remember any names in particular.

Some programs store a plethora of information. Much more information, such as pictures can be loaded into your logs, than can with the Suunto.

When it comes to log books the bottem line is your training listing all the skills you mastered the dives should reflect the conditions and equipment used and an honest report on your enjoyment/problems encountered,
listing fish and viuals is great but if a dive leader wants to asses your standard he needs the facts of your dive.

This is a good point. Though, I wish I could put more details to remember the conditions, etc.

Right now I am just using the normal PADI log book (small ringed binder with refillable inserts). I have heard of people syncing their dive computer to their PDA. Then you can enter details into the PDA. This sounds like a good idea, but I havent seen a driver for the Aeris dive computers (which is what I use).

I have an Aladin Air X from Uwatec and I bought a very inexpensive interface (5 bucks) from Germany. I can download the logbook to a Palm Pilot like I do with my computer. At the begin I was using the expinsive interface that Uwatec sells, but now, I put it away... this means that you don't need to buy expensive devices in order to have the same benefit that you can get from chip handmade devices...

I also keep a hard copy and a online dive log so i have back up.

I have hardcopies for all of my dives. I just finished loading all of my dives into an online log at DiveRecord.com. I will downloading Suunto Dive Manager tonight. I dive with a Vyper, but I just can't see spending the $100 for a damn cable to download the dive info from my computer into my PC! :banging:

I have a datamax pro and I download the software for the pc from oceanic. I tried to use a infrared device(not oceanic's) from my pc but it will not connect to the dive computer. Does anyone know a cheap way to get the dives download into my pc?
