I went diving at Loch Low-Minn in Athens, TN this past Sunday. What a blast! My first fresh water dive. I went to see paddlefish and was not disappointed. Saw 6 of them, one with it's mouth hanging low to filter feed. Didn't have a buddy, but just showed up and fortunately, there was a local guy there in his dry suit who didn't have a buddy either. Apart from us, the rest were students with instructors. Beautiful quarry, beautiful countryside and the paddlefish were so great to see.
Found a good clip on YouTube of what they look like feeding. It's harder work to dive when you're not on a boat, though, isn't it?
Viz was about 30-35 ft. Surface temps around 72. Thermoclines around 60.
