Location, Location, Location: Does It Matter in Lembeh?

A Canadian from about 25 miles from where I live. (Great muffins - a Canadian thing). As I recall diving on their house reef is either free or a nominal charge for fills. Also as I recall you can night dive this reef. I did it several times when I was there. Always as an evening dive rather than a true night dive however. Go in late evening come out at night.

FYI Ironborn, I'm the owner of BSDR along with my wife. We go out for night dives on the boat even if there's only one diver. Our House Reef is fantastic for night dives and at dusk is one of the best wonderpus sites, so some guests just keep going off the beach with a guide or a buddy night after night. We allow our guests to use their package (day) dives for night dives, but add a surcharge to cover for staff overtime and extra fuel. Send us an email for further details.
Yes, there's more sites in the north-central area, but once up to Angel's Window and further, those are pure coral sites, not muck.
It has been raining (not every day) for almost two years now. There aren't distinct seasons anymore, it seems. But it is plankton, not rain, that really affects the visibility. Unless it is heaving with rain for days on end (very rare), only the Jahir / Jari Jari area gets noticeably reduced reduced vis ("chocolate milk") from rain. Vis can be substantially different from one side of the strait to the direct other, oddly.
Resorts in the strait are supposed to have a ratio of no more than four guests per guide. Some resorts offer a 2:1 ratio. In quieter times, we (and some others) may have 1:1 if there are few guests. But I keep going back to overall numbers of divers in one group being important (though some sociable folks enjoy diving in a big group).
Many or most guests have sites they wish to re-visit. Most resorts will do that. Everyone wants to make their guests happy.

Our house-reef is great. We hope to make a special video about this next week.
We started 15 years ago with the 2 guests : 1 guide ratio. Same is true for the "no limits on dive-time" rule.
And we are the first with our "zero-cancellation fee" policy.
Our Divers lodge Lembeh is surrounded by 25 hectares of protected nature. Nobody of our friends here can beat that

That all being proudly said. I am sure that all resorts here are offering a very high standard of quality. And I wonder if any dive destination in the world has so many repeater guests as our Lembeh Strait.
