I live about 7 miles from Vortex, have not dove it in a long time. they charge $25 to get in. It is a nice dive to get wet. Morrison is a fun dive, dove it a couple of weeks ago. You always have to call Dennis 850 836 4223. If the river is up the vis is poor. Even if the vis is poor on top, it could be clear below. Cypress is closed, bought out by a bottled water company. You have to have a boat. People only own the land around springs. The springs and its water belong to the state of Florida and its people. As long as you do not make land fall they cannot say anything, anchor in about 4' of water. oh yeh, good by the way info. the jetties are a great dive, ONLY FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AT HIGH SLACK TIDE!!!! Blue spring in Marriana is now open for diving, must check in with the Sherriffs office and have a cave diveing cert. Again if by boat you can dive all of the springs along the mill pond and no one can say anything. Cantral FLorida has some good springs, ALexander is a good get wet spring, state park, $5 entrance fee for divers. Royal is good, was free, do not know now. Troy was good the last time I dove it a year or so ago. then you could only get to it by boat, heard that the state opened a park entrance.
Anyone have any copies of the old sea hunt 50's - 60's I have about 80 episodes if anyone would like to trade copies email at krisl_1999@yahoo.com or seahunt2@hotmail.com If you want to get wet. I need to go out and fix the power trim on the boat, I want to take it to the mill pond spring run in a day or two.
