Anyplace decent to take a dive or two this time of year in the Denver area? I have a full DS set-up and am going to Monterey in May, but with 70 degree days right now I'm itching to dive!

Chatfield never closes to divers. I was there in early November and it was 47F - so not too bad but we kept our dive to about 30 mins as WinterHawk was diving 8mm semidry (WET).

I am thinking about driving down to the hole REAL soon also.

Later today or tomorrow I plan to check on the temperture of the water at Chatfield. Although Kingfisher Pond is open, when the temperture is below 45 degrees I find the diving to be challenging not enjoyable.

I'm interested too. How is vis this time of year? I'm also looking forward to a few early season dives in Grand lake in May/June while it is gin clear and before boat traffic picks up.

The temperture in Kingfisher pond was 50 degrees at 4:30 P.M. today. So, I would be interested in diving next Sunday.

I'll see what I can do. What time are you thinking? How did the vis look?

Well, look's like we have a group dive for Sunday March 29th. Let's wait until mid week to set a time. It may be cold on the surface in the early morning. Around noon or later may be better.
