Local Dive Clubs

Since somebody *cough*Ray*cough* is unaware of the existance of local dive clubs I thought I'd start a thread. I think there are at least four or five around here and I only know about my club: the New England Aquarium Dive Clube (NEADC) http://www.neadc.org/aboutclub1.html

In the Fitchburg area we have the United Divers of Central Mass www.uniteddivers.org . We meet the third Thursday of every month. Currently we have just about 100 active members.

Metro West Dive Club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Framingham. We have several yearly trips, including North Carolina, Kingston, Ontario, and New York. Every Saturday there is shore diving (called the Date at Eight) and Wednesdays during the warmer months there is a Wednesday night dive. During the winter months, the Date @ 8 moves to 10am.

Ever year, we put on a day-long conference on shipwrecks called Wrecks. This year our topic is "Passenger Vessels in Distress."

In the Metro West area, there is MetroWest Dive Club -www.mwdc.org. We meet the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Rt. 9 - across the Shoppers World.

In the Lowell / Chelmsford, southern New Hampshire there is the Merrimack Valley Dive Club; Meets 1st Tuesday of each month (except December) at the Marriott Hotel on Industrial Avenue in Lowell. http://www.mvdc.us

Club is for divers & those-not-yet-divers, dive widows/widowers... all levels of dive experience are welcome from newly-certified to very advanced, cave, deep, etc.

The MVDC is NOT part of a commercial dive shop/store. It is run by local divers who support many local dive stores in the area.
