Lobster

Hi all,
having a hard time deciding what I think this, leaning on a Ornate spiny lobster (Panulirus ornatus) any ideas?

I went trough my old pictures, and found this. Not a very good picture, but a different angle giving a better view of legs and body. But I still can't figure out what it is . It looks to me like a mix between an Ornated spiny lobster [Panulirus ornatus] and a Coral Lobster [Panulirus longipes]...

Any ideas ?

There's a lot more lobsters out there. Check out this document - it has the names of every lobster for the area & descriptions/comparative figures for the commercial ones.

Since its been up so long without a positive ID...
The leg markings look wrong for P. ornatus.
my guess is a similar lobster,
Panulirus polyphagus
The leg bands are more like your photo.
Still really a guess though.

Yes, I guess the only sane thing to do would have been to drop this a long time ago

Brilliant, Palinustus mossambicus sounds promising, Mozambique is just a short swim away Just need to find a good identification sheet...
