Anybody going out tomorrow. Be safe! I did my final mini-season last year...just not worth it.
FYI- my user pic is me heading out south of Dania pier last year for the first day of mini-season

Good luck to all those who go out!

I don't go out for the California opener anymore. I miss the excitement of opening night but I don't miss the crazy behavior that I witnessed.

One year, we were gearing up in a residential neighborhood just before midnight. Some guys nearby were pumped up and whooping it up .... you know the type. I asked them to calm down and be respectful but it fell on deaf ears.

We got out of the water a couple of hours later, came back to our cars and found the loud guys complaining that their tires had been slashed. My tires were fine.

I am not sure how the locals figured out which cars belonged to the guys making all the noise. Cameras I guess.

I'm back from 3 tanks off palm beach in 85-100 ft of water, glass calm conditions, moderate to strong current, Top to bottom vis in 85 ft, no thermo, left the suit unzipped and caught one freaking lobster...LOL.

Caught one or two with eggs, saw one short.

Good effort! These days I find I enjoy the hunting more than the catching.
