No problems.

As far as water temp it doesn't get much colder unless you decide to drive to the highland lakes and dive under the ice in winter as some of the guys from oceandiversplus did earlier this year. Water temp at 2 deg c to a depth of 5m.

i don't think i'll ever do that, well maybe once to see what its like! but i am not a big fan of really cold watter!!

thanks a bunch illfish

Thanks Soudan... glad you like and are all excited!

Most of them are boat dives. But there is a really great shore dive in Bicheno (weedy sea dragons, rays, octopus, squid, anemones and tonnes of fish right off the shore) - grab a copy of that book Tassie_Rohan mentions, I do believe it talks about it. Or PM and I'll do my best to remember what it was called and give you a description.

thanks *Ag*, illFish just provided the name of the book, i'll get my hands on it as soon as i get a chance.
i'll let you know when i get there.

Can't wait to see you down there! I'm moving back to tassie around that time as well: the diving up here in Queensland is just too tame....

Thanks tas130, I'll be sure to do that!

It wont be right away though, i think it'll take some time for me to settle down and get used to the area... After that i'll be hungry for diving :)

I'll let y'all know when i get there

For anyone interested there is a Tassie e-zine called Marine LIFE

The magazine is a (hopefully) monthly, free, eco-friendly, advertising-free, email community magazine. The editorial group are all recreational scuba divers and its very slanted in that direction currently, but it is our intention to broaden this to encompass all non-mainstream marine and coastal activities not really covered well by other existing local publications.

http://odp.tassiedivers.com/docs/marine_news_1.pdf - link is to the first edition (about 1.4MB)

Thanks IllFisch,

Sounds like a great deal! Is there a website to go to and subscribe for that magazine??
