There is a link on Wetpixel ...

http://wetpixel.com/articles/waow-liveaboard-severely-damaged-in-fire

... to a video posted on Facebook ...

... 'purportedly' showing the liveaboard WAOW totally engulfed in flames. The boat was at Manokwari. Apparently no injuries to crew, and no guests aboard at the time. I don't know if it's posted elsewhere for those not on Facebook. No other details.

Waow!!!

What is it with burning liveaboard boats? Seems to happen quite often, especially in Indonesia and Southeast Asia? Or am I just reading too much SB?

The Spree burned twice. Being built of aluminum makes the damage not as severe. You just have to ensure that the hull metal wasn't effected. A wooden boat doesn't usually burn more than once.

They sure are beautiful to look at, though.

Damn. I was booked on the Truk Siren before that got burned down a few years ago. Disgruntled locals in that case. Be interesting to see what the deal is here.
