I'm organizing a one week Liveaboard tour on the MSY Bodul in the Dalmatian Sea from 1st October till 8th October 2022 and I still have some spots left.

The trip starts from Trogir, Croatia (near Split). We plan to go to the island of Vis with some nice wrecks. Other then that there are great walls for diving too.
The MSY Bodul is a 32m long wooden boat. 15 double cabin. 2 compressors.

Price is 475.-€ per adult in the double cabin or 595.- € per adult in a single cabin.
(currently additional 50.-€ diesel price increase has to be added)

Rebreather and tech support is possible.

Questions:

1. Is this a primarily technical diving trip?

2. Nitrox available?

3. Full room and board?

4. What is the water/air temperature like in October? Is it drysuit diving?

5. Average depths?

Hi BoltSnap,

to answer your questions.
1. No. Currently it's more a mixed trip but all are advanced diver. Some rebreather divers are there and some with doubles.

2. Nitrox can be provided on request.

3. This I don't get. Can explain a bit. So there a 15 double bed rooms. You can book it as a single cabin.

4. Surface I would say something like 21°C. In 40 meters around 18°C. Last year we had in 70 meters 14°C. But last year the water was exceptional cold. In October I normally to drysuit diving as the dives may get a bit longer ;-)

5. 30 - 60 meters I would say.

Cheers,
Christian

"full room and board" mean all meals and drinks included?

That sounds like drysuit for sure. I can't imagine doing a full week in these temperatures in a wetsuit, a day or two is a maybe but not a full week.

That sounds a tech diving in the most part.

Thank you!

So meal is included. Coffee and tee for breakfast as well. The other drinks are to be paid extra.

It depends a bit on you. So in October I dive dry normally. But there are always people that go in a wetsuit. So this is still possible. But I'm more comfortable with the dry suit ;-)

So most of the time you don't have to go that deep. You can easily stay at 20 meters on a single tank. No problem. But especially the outside of the islands there are some nice drop offs.
Thank you!

Unfortunately I can't make it on these days, but out of curiosity (and for future reference) are these guided dives i.e. divers split into groups (2-3-4 groups depending on the total number of divers), each group gets a guide (provided by the LOB operator) and the divers are supposed to follow their group/guide around, or divers are left free to do whatever they like (in groups or with their buddy) ??

Also, in case you know, are this kind of LoB trips happening in Croatia regularly or is this a one off thing?
Until now I thought that the nearest to me LoBs would be in the Red Sea/Egypt.

Thanks and good luck. The trip looks very interesting

Normally the divers are somehow left free to do whatever they like. Of course depending on there qualification. Most of the time we have some experienced divers on board to form small groups if you are a beginner.
We organize such trips two to three times a year. But this boat can booked from May till October.
And there are also more boats. So no problem to get a LoB trip there.
