Resort owners perpetuate the myth that offering money to staff is an insult. They want you to leave a lump sum in a jar or box, which will be distributed when you are not there. Unfortunately, some owners keep the money and the staff never sees a penny. This is vile behavior. Don't be fooled by propaganda that serves the rich at the expense of the poor.
