Does anyone have any experience taking a non-diver or novice with them on a live aboard? If they are content topside with a book and headphones, is it still worth it? My wife is a novice and is not drawn to the water like I am. She would maybe take advantage of a dive or 2/day and spend the rest of the time hanging out on the boat. Looking at Belize or Roatan Aggressor and looks like itinerary has minimal time, if any, on land.

The Aquacat (out of Nassau Bahamas) has lots to do for non-divers and/or those that only want a couple dives per day. They have kayaks to use and if they can, they will also offer a shore excursion or two during the week to keep the non-divers entertained.
It also has big cabins and a very big dining/common area with a small library if they want to sit down with a good book, although I'd recommend bringing 1 or 2 to ensure that they will have something that they'll like.
I have personally never taken a non-diver on the Aquacat, but I have been on it when members of the group I was traveling with brought their non-diving spouses along. Also, being a Catamaran, the Aquacat tends to be very stable.
