Interesting. So much of the island basically takes an extended siesta. How many places can you say that about in this day & age?

Richard.

Going to be there in a week. Fewer folks on the island not too bad, but more folks at the bar...maybe not so good if the karaoke goes late. I like my sleep on divecation. :) Really can't wait to get there. Love the Wall.

I love going there this time of year. We will be there during the last week of August. It is so quiet and the dive sites are even more deserted than usual. If you are headed to LCBR and looking forward to a massage at the spa (highly recommended) do be aware that the spa closes for the month of September, even though the resort is open.

We will be arriving just when everything starts to open up again. I am kind of sorry that I won't experience the shut-down, it sounds so peaceful and pleasant, but I am looking forward to a massage!

That's what I like most about the Caymans. You get to enjoy the best of both worlds. You can be walking down the strip in Georgetown in Grand Cayman, passing shops with names that belong on Rodeo Drive, and there will be chickens walking in front of you!

You can find it all in the Caymans, sophistication and luxury as well as quaint, quiet, rural peace. And great diving too!

Very few alternatives. The two non-LCBR options are probably going to be either something like Conch Club condos or a private home through VRBO. LCBR's Reef Divers is the only operator running though. So make sure they have space on their boats if they want to dive before booking elsewhere.
