Flight to Manila was delayed by 3hrs and eventually touched down at 16:00. Changed some money at PNB and the procedure was awful, will use another bank as there are several to choice. Walked out of the arrival hall and saw a bus just pulled in with a display on the windscreen saying Victory Liner Pasay. Good enough for me as my prebooked hotel, Kabayan, is about 200m down the road. Fare was P150.00.
On following morning, took the LRT from EDSA to Gil Puyet(P20.00, two stops). Boarded the Cere Bus which left at 10:00, conductor asked me if I am a senior!! I replied with : hindi ako pinoy and that brought a smile from him. Full fare was P268.00. Arrived at Batangas Ferry Terminal 2hrs late.
I suspect the coming election and Fri must had something to do with all the better classses were sold out. Only the reclining seat was available at P1,000.00. Terminal fees was P30.00. Time to fill up before a long sea journey.
Boarding around 15:15 and it was a bit of a walk to board the boat. Hate to thing if rain is coming down in bucket. Found a seat(3rd level) and settled in a big AC room with four exits at each corner. A small dining room is at the 2nd level and various kinds of Pinoy's food were available. I treated myself first with an ice cream. The seat was ok and the AC was not an issue until few hrs later that I had to pull out a jacket and this applied to most passengers inside the room. Some had already decided to crash out on the floor. The whole journey was uneventful as the sea was calm.
Docked around 03:00, trying to find my hotel took quite a while but without too much of a bother.
Later this morning will move to a resort closer to Three P.
