I am not as adventurous as @sostil so the trip was far less demanding than those she and her partner made over last several weeks.
Flight was delayed by an hr and NAIA T3 was very very busy. Long queue to exchange peso as well as at GRAB counter. Instead of wasting time for GRAB, took the expensive yellow taxi(P700.00) to the hotel near EDSA LRT station.
T3 is getting very very busy over last few years and getting out of it has been quite problematic. I will try to get a white taxi outside departure hall(used to do that at T1 yrs ago) next time or public transport if arrive much earlier.
Always start early in Philippines, took the Ceres Bus(P268.00) at Gil Puyat LRT Station and arrived at Batangas Pier around 09:30. The ferry to Balatero was scheduled to depart at 10:45 so plenty of time to kill inside the terminal. The clerk at Montenegro Shipping Lines sold me a discount Senior ticket(P437.00) after looking at my passport!! And I said nothing because she already knew that I am a foreigner. The full fare is P610.00.
Environmental fees is still P120.00 and the trike to Sabang is P250.00 but the driver asked P300.00.

Let us know where you stayed and dived with in PG and Anilao.
I go to Anilao every year for a couple of months but would like to get over to PG again as it’s been a few years since I was able to do Sabang/small la Laguna.

For the first time I let my buddy to arrange the trip.
1. PG(Sabang), staying at AAA Apartment which is down the alley way from Martin's semi open air bar. The inner court facing AC room with hot water is only P1,200.00. Dead quiet in the evening even several bars are just round the corner.
Tina's Reef Divers, rate is just P1,000.00 per dive !!

2. Anilao Scuba Dive Center(ASDC) which is suggested by one of SB member. Room is P1,500.00 and all inclusive diving rate is P1,800.00.

I only made one dive at Turtle Rock this morning.
At least four different kinds of green colour nudi of various sizes.
Saw five big bump head parrot fish back in May but no such luck this time.
Thrasher shark has also been regularly spotted here but the water is too warm(28C) for them at this time of the year.

The operator is competent.

Next dive is on Wed.

Following, because I can't get enough of PG!

I'll be back there in two weeks, travelling with my JJ, my first time diving PG on a rebreather.

Most operator would not be able to handle rebreather diver.
Asia Diver would be your best bet. LLBC(La Laguna Beach Club and Diver Centre) is another one.
However, you should contact the operator first because sorb is an issue. And if you prefer 200 bar for your O2 fill then booster pump is another issue.

Asia Divers/Tec Asia did not have a booster pump for very long time. But as a GUE centre it should be able to handle JJ.

My buddy saw one bumped head parrot fish and a small eagle ray around Kelimar Steps. Very lucky guy.

Monkey Beach.
Vis was suck big time.
Nothing unusual except a white colourc giant mantis shrimp burrowing at the bottom and ready to strike any prey passing by.

Nothing wrong with less adventurous. Would love to go back to PG for relaxed dives once this trip concludes in a few months.

ASDC was the first stop of our trip and we enjoyed it there. Very homey experience. Let us know how the diving is there, as I saw that Batangas/southern Luzon was affected a lot by the monsoon so I’m curious as to change in vis/current.

Is Tingloy open for diving again? When we went in May, the barangays were having a dispute so we couldn’t go.
