Liquivision X1 screen fading more and more

Looking at some of the previous posts, this looks like a known issue.

It's gotten to the point that I can only read the screen on a night dive.

Did anyone every find a way to fix/repair this issue?

My x1 quit in 2013 ish. The case started leaking the potting material. You’ve done good. Paperweight time.
