Yesterday was a new, unique experience. I shot a lionfish with my ELF, just a small one, maybe 4" long. i pulled it back out from under the coral head where it was hiding. I was getting ready to pull out the knife to finish it off and was planning to drop it on the sand to let something scavenge it.......except a yellow tail snapper that was watching closely had a different plan. With me holding the fish on the ELF right in front of me and my wife, the snapper darted in and ate it right off the ELF! One bite and the whole thing was gone. I was wondering what had developed a taste for the little buggers and obviously the snappers have.....cool!
