Can't wait to try it! So glad to know there are 300 Lionfish hunters on Bonaire. Although they won't eliminate the species, at least they can control it severely...and provide great food as a bonus!

Divemaven, I am no expert on Lionfish but how can they be eradicated? I heard they are huge over on the east side...sigh...well, I will do what I can eating them..truly a lovely fish...

They can't ever be eradicated, just hopefully managed as much as possible through hunting. The good thing is that once you identify something tasty for humans to eat and open hunting, numbers of the species tend to drop significantly, and better fishing methods are developed. We can only hope...

Really wanted to try the lionfish burger but alas, he was not there on Friday. No wind... Next time!
