After arriving Cozumel at end of August, my daughter and I did the first dive in Cozumel at Chankanaab National Park. Before we jump into water, I asked divemaster what to do if we see lion fishes. Divemaster told us not to worry, there isn't too many sighting of lion fishes in Chankanaab. And he will have a whip and jumping loop ready when he sees a lion fish.
We did not see any lion fishes during the dive. But later that afternoon, divemaster waved at us and told us he has something to show us. In a bucket, there is a little lion fish he just caught.....
