These little dudes were bobbing around on the stuff growing on a piece of old line that was hanging from a wreck. Depth of the creatures was between 40 and 70 fsw. They looked like little stick figures with little budda bellies. They would bend "forward" as well as "backward" At first I thought they were algae moving with the water currents, then noticed they had purposeful movement.
They were 1 to about 2 inches long.

They are skeleton shrimp, and the photo shows one that looks like it has an egg mass. Note that at least one individual (on the right side of the line) is just skinny with no belly.

Caprella sp (Amphipoda). They grow to about 2 cm. (1 inch).
