Light & Motion ceasing operations

We had three lights and chargers fry during our Australia trip last June. L&M replaced everything, including shipping for free.

Oh great. So YOU'RE the one who finally bankrupted them.

But really, I'm not trying to make light of their demise.

They made nice lights, but I never thought the price to quality ratio was that great.

Quality, price, service... you only get to pick two out of the three.

L&M products where innovative and well made. Their customer service was good too. That means they had to be expensive.

I'm a little bit surprised that nobody is vying to purchase the name and all the goodwill that comes with it and simply shift the manufacturing to a more profitable model, i.e., overseas manufacturing.

Maybe the owners of the company have too much 'tegrity to do that though. Good on them if that is the case.

There was a weird time last year/2 where they expanded into a ton of other "white lable" products in the diving/bike industries. I wonder if they bit off too much.

Who wouldn't want a L&M branded regulator?
