No, and I don't have the equipment to do so. I am planning on taking my chances with soldering. I have about 40 used cells I got for free, and as long as I don't burn down the house I have nothing to lose.

yeah I'd do that outside with a fire extinguisher nearby.... FAR away from anything flammable. If you're going to do it, make sure you have a high power, high end soldering iron. Happy home owner grade doesn't have enough wattage to even come close to getting to solder an end without sending the cell into thermal runaway. I'd go with at bare minimum 100w, ideally 200w

Thank you for the warning, I do have great respect for these batteries. A welder would be nice.
