mine also has a strain relief on the cannister end of the cord - find pics of Sandho cannister and you get the idea.
fyi i have an LC as well, before i got the can. downsides are, for me, kludginess since i can't let go of it without adding to danglies (using the wrist strap). nice bright light for night diving, though. but the can keeps me less busy as it sits on my wrist without expending energy to 'grab on to it'.
