I spotted this beneath my dad's doc the other day on Marco Island FL. None of us had ever seen one before.

We did manage to locate it in a book with a lot of searching but I'm curious to see if anyone else can figure it out?

no Idea, but it's a pretty little beast
how big was it

About 10 inches spread out. It took a lot of looking and some assistance from a dive master and some books he had after we made it to the keys to figure out what it was.

It's an Atlantic Black Seahare (Aplysia mono)

Wow - As a kid I was on vacation in that area and saw one of those.

I always wondered what it was!

Thanks, that's a long mystery solved.

This is in non-diving why...?

Cute little bugger.

Cause he wasn't diving. He was on a dock.
Ah, I missed that point...!

Very nice dock shooting.

Thanks! I was hanging over the side with a flashlight in one hand and my nikon without the dive case on it in the other. I was a little paranoid I'd drop it! Lol
