Legend Lx supreme vs Mares Abyss

I've got a little problem. I can either buy the Legend Lx supreme or the Mares Abyss for about the same price. Ive talked to both rep's, and they are both convincing.

Which should i get?

I'm not sure. Probably not though. At a depth of 10 feet, i dont think it would matter anyways

They're about the same in cold-water capabilities, except that the Legend may breathe a little easier. But, the Abyss is what the deep divers use...

Hands down, no contest. Legend LX Supreme .. it's an outstanding regulator, comes with lifetime parts warranty, and right now comes with a FREE Legend Octopus.

I own 8 personal units. I have been diving them now for close to 30 months now. They are just the best thing out there. We use them for all our dives shallow and deep. At 100 fsw they are as smooth as they are at 30 fsw and at 300 fsw .......well ..... that's why they call them Legends...... they do perform. Right out of the box.

The Legend LX Supreme needs everything to be balanced, even the octopus.
The Abyss is the one for deep diving. It did 313 meters on December 2003 without any modifications. The tests it went through are very tough. Take a look at Mares web site.

While the Mares is a good reg...go with the Legend...remember it is a "refinement" of a Apeks...Joel is right on this one.....

I disagree, the Abyss is a better cold reg.

If I had a choice of Only those two I'd get the Legend.

Being Oceanic I also beg you to check out the Delta 4 bias aside the reg rocks!

I've got the Legend LX Supreme and it's the best regulator I've ever used. It breathes easier than anything I've used before.
