LED Convertion from HID

My Uk light Cannon died recently so want to replace its HID with a Cree unit anyone done anything similar ? Or got any tips on how to do it ?
I will let you know how I get on in any case .

Send it in to UK. They're really good about replacing broke or damaged lights. Also, they may have a drop in LED replacement module.

i Live In England so it might be cheaper to buy a new light than pay the postage!
