Same problem. My only advice is keep looking. Somewhere out there is the mask that will work for you. I used a lot of ones suggested on the boards and none worked. I happened to mention my problem in a dive shop in a small town one day and a worker said, "Try this." "This" was a frameless ScubaMax and I have been a very happy diver since. Good luck in your quest.

OK.

The last 2 weekends I used the Oceanways mask with a little of the silicone mustache seal. Worked!

You know, I carry water in my mask on purpose. As well, I have encountered people who simply cannot find a mask that seals.

Hunch, try this one, the new Scuba Pro frameless Orbit.

I'm not reading all the posts on this thread, but this may help.

I recently had a student with exactly the same problem, based on the shape of her face and her lovely smile lines, she had a constant problem with leaking masks. We tried a lot of masks and eventually found the Aeris Coral dive mask Aeris Coral Dive Masksolved the problem for her.

A smaller mask with a smaller skirt actually seems to work better for this problem.

Here are a few other tips:

  • Try to avoid tightening the mask too much, that actually seems to make a smile line leak worse.
  • Wear the strap higher on the back of your head, which allow the mask to tighten against the bottom of your nose.
  • A slap strap on the mask seems to help by preventing it from slipping.
  • Obviously avoid smiling to much underwater, as hard as that may be!
  • Use some silicone grease across your upper lip to help seal the mask.
  • Always shave your upper lip unless you wear a moustache --in which case be liberal with the silicone grease on the moustache.

I know this last tip is going to sound a little odd, but try to avoid worrying about it. I've seen students who are constantly fidgeting with a mask and actually causing a leak.

Hopefully some of all of these will work and this hasn't been repetative.

Go to a mask with a mid volume, something like the old Dacor Vista. Many of the low volume and especially the single pane low volume masks have limited skirt depth and the glass runs into your forehead/nose before the skirt has reached sufficient "grip" on your face. People with a long, narrow face are especially prone to this problem.

Sometimes a NEW mask will leak but with about 6 dives it will seal well. You can also try scubapro spectra 2 for smaller face
