I noticed today that if I bend the hose near the regulator swivel (on the 2nd stage end) it will leak a steady stream of small bubbles. If I don't press on the hose, it doesn't leak.

The bubbles come out of the swivel joint between the hose and the connector. They do not come out of the hose, the hose crimp, or the end of the connector screwed onto the 2nd stage.

I assume that when I bend the hose the pressure is compressing one side of the oring and causing a larger gap on the other side which then leaks.

Is this normal or is it a sign of an oring that needs to be replaced?

Under normal usage, I probably wouldn't end up with such a bend in the hose, which is probably why I never noticed it before.

Before you just replace the ring, make sure the sealing surfaces are clean.
