unless, like some shops like mine, they have "free fills for life" if you buy you tank there.

Damn... that sounds like an outstanding dealWish I could get something like that. I got a 10 or 20 airfill card when I bought my tanks.

I will likely buy my tanks from Shop A if their prices are competitive with Scubatoys (within $80 or so for two tanks will work for me). They do give free air for a year, but being as they're so far away from me, that is kind of a moot bonus.
I am sorry to hear that shop B charges for the extra day. I have never been to a shop that charges for a day that they are not open. It is not fair to the consumer to be charged extra if your return falls on a day that they are closed. Did the shop give a reason for charging on the day that they are closed? I would be curious to find out.
Great move on your part. You'll find you'll take advantage of more diving opportunities now that you have your own tanks. Just remember to keep them filled.Needless to say I bought 2 tanks today (not from them), but will make sure I go to them when I need airfills.![]()
Well, I politely spoke to someone at the convenient shop that charges for closed days...
Their argument was that everyone else in the city does it.
I responded with the name of the other shop that is far from me, saying that they do not as they feel it is unfair to customers, so in that light would they ever reconsider or maybe come up with a 'weekend rate'? :blinking:
I was told to "shop there then" (meaning the other store). :shocked2:

I really don't know what their goal is, but it apparently is not customer service. :doh2:
