Just when I thought all was lost and all LDS have gone down the path of no return.. I happen to walk into Divers cove in Essex CT fo the first time today, for a gas fill and some diving discussion. I can not say how suprised I was with the pleasant attitude of Ed Jr, ( I am pretty sure that was his name) and the atmosphere was great.. As I said this was my first time inthe shop, and he made me feel like I had been there 100 times before. I did the unthinkable, in an LDS's eyes, and bought two new Steel Tanks off of the internet. Ed could of cared less.. and I couldnt believe it!!! past Shops I have been into would of come one step from throwing me out the door..

I have definately found a new shop to put on the top of my list..

Not just that...

He has Nitrox and Trimix. They are always with a nice attitude. He will repair it, fix it, change it no matter where did you buy ....how much you paid or if you plan to buy from them or not.

I do all my biz with ED no pressure. He will give you advice even if you are going/buying to/from other place.

I go there when ever I dive the Ct shore. Never had any problems. They even forgot to charge me for my fill and were surprised when I walked back in and asked if they would like the money. We all had a good laugh. He even took the time to do a quick inspection of my gear while were waiting for the fill. Got a tour of the repair shop.... I could go on. But in a nut shell I agree, Great Shop.

Nope. Just fills, good conversation and good advice

Tampico_ED:
Well, the key question is how nice are they if you do not buy all your equipment from them or take their classes?

CTMAX have you bought any expensive gear from those guys?

just wondering!

Both Ed Jr. and Ed Sr. are good guys.
Divers Cove is truly a "divers" dive shop.
Ask Ed Sr. if you can look at his modified Drager...you won't believe it!

That is a keeper then !! :-)

That was the exact feeling I got from Ed... I was very impressed with his attitude when I walked in with two brand new tanks, and he could of cared less... The valves werent even in them yet.. I plan on doing lots of business with them in the future..

DEREK S:
Have you tried The Scuba Shack?

Been there, done that......

CTMAX:
Wait!! New Steel, I am going to feel so under-dressed

Look out now!! you guys were killing me on SAC so bad in Cape Ann, I had to go bigger!!! Youll just have to pick me off of the bottom of the ocean when I sink like a brick....:-)
