Is Off the Wall Scuba closing? The answer is both Yes and No.
Off the Wall Scuba will be closing it's current location on December 23, 2010. All current inventory and fixtures are being sold at great savings through that date.
Upon closing the location, Off the Wall Scuba will continue to operate as a Training Organization with a website and staff of Instructors in the Maryland market. The website will stay active and be revamped with a new mission and class pricing statement in January.
The ownership team is actively looking for a location more centrally located in the Baltimore Metro Area as we have been told our exceptional product should be made easier to get to for people from all areas. Right now, people west of Baltimore have a long way to go to get to us. We are taking the opportunity to leave our current location as the lease is up at the end of the year. Stay tuned for developments on our website.
The corporate business Off the Wall Scuba, Inc. will continue to exist throughout the period and will be reachable by telephone. This information will be available on our website.
Yes, we have decided to sell the boat we bought for upper bay diving because there is very little upper bay diving which people are interested in. If however the boat is not sold by the end of the year and we find a more central location, the boat may be retained and put further down the bay or perhaps even Ocean City. This part is still up in the air.
Yes, we have listed the current location for sale - just in case someone is interested in maintaining a presence on the East Side of Baltimore. Right now, we are the only shop in this market. While it has been a viable location, we think our business plan is even better for a more central location. Options currently under consideration include lease opportunities in Ellicot City, Harford Rd, Joppa Rd, York Rd, Reisterstown Rd and Route 40 West in Catonsville.
We are very happy we will continue offering exceptional training, sales and service to our clientele.
