I dove Laurel Lake yesterday 7/2/06 at the beach next to the dam.

Surface temp. 80 deg
Thermocline 20 ft. temp low 60's above and mid 50's just below.
Visability ranged from 6' to 15'.

Anything of interest to see there, John? I'd like to dive Cumberland or Laurel sometime for the lake experience. I was at Rough River back in the winter and thought it looked like a good place to dive. Somebody said there was an old town or bunch of foundations there.

It's a pretty cool dive. Allot of boats hang out in this area just outside the swim area so there are lots of sunglasses to be found. Sometimes they are new enough to not be rusted. We did find an anchor and threw it up on the bank for some lucky boater to find. There is also part of a pontoon boat next to the dam.

That's where my brother-in-law lives so I'll be going again at least a couple more times this summer. I'll give you a shout next time and maybe you can go with me.

Keep me in mind! I'd like to try a dive or two there. I could always use another fishing rod! It's not a bad drive from LaGrange.
