I'm down later this week for (hopefully) some wreck diving in the Fort lauderdale area. I'm wondering if we get "blown out" if there are any shore dives that are okay when the seas are rough?? I've heard things have been pretty rough down there lately!!

Hmmm, if the seas are rough, it is typically an east/southeast wind that spoils it all,
and in that case, the shores are churning with surf which makes any shore entry likely to be "blown out" as well.

If the seas are kicked up from a stiff wind from the north or south, the shore conditions might be OK for near shore exploring, but chances are the visibility is going to suffer from the churning seas.

Keep an eye on the high pressure system we have on top of Florida right now. They expect it to move east, and thus give us a southeast wind and kick up seas a bit, but the forecasts I'm watching dont call for a blow out just yet. Cross yer fingers! Good luck!
