Well, I must say I enjoyed visiting SoCal, and thank you Arnaud for showing me around and diving Catalina (also, thank you for returning my tank!!!).
realized that my strobe's battery died (hence black and white shots, since colors were screwed up anyway). The next day, I went to San Diego, and did one dive on Lois Ann on the Yukon wreck... got seasick shortly after the first dive, and with a combination of soar back (from lifting all my gear the day before) decided not to risk do the 2nd dive. I think I was the only one being seasick on the boat... :l: sucks. But, overall, I had a lot of fun, and will definitely come back to do some more diving. :thumb:

Here are some pictures. (mostly Arnaud's face.. or his butt since I was mostly behind him)

The rest are fine indeed! :D

Always a pleasure to introduce a passionate diver to the beauty of our kelps. You're going to have to do something about that seasickness. The Doria is a long way from the shore when you're swimming...

You know, I never realized before how the frog kick can leave one so vulnerable to bad butt shots...LOL! No, I will not use that nasty new icon to illustrate the point.

I have to get that Japanese drug that worked magic for me... I have since ran out and now forced to use this horrible American drugs... I went to this wreck we have off Long Island, NY., it's about 2 and a half hours ride on a boat.. and that day we had 6 to 8 footers, and I was fine all the way through until the boat tied to a buoy and then one guy on a a boat lit a cigarette... the moment I smelled the smoke it was all over...

Yeah, those smokers can be a real pain

I can be a pain, too. But at least, I don't smoke anymore.

I loved the kelp shots and the B & W as well! Thanks for sharing!

Nice Shots.

I too was diving the Yukon this last weekend. I was not on the Lois Ann. I was on he DnD II. I saw the Lois Ann pull up just before we jumped in. The Swell was a little rough. We had a few get sea sick atfer the first dive one of them being my girlfriend. She did not make the second dive. I read you last reply about a Japanese drug that worked well. Do you remember what it is called. I would like to get some for my girl friend.

The drug called Semper QL. it tastes good, you just put in your mouth and it dissolved in a few seconds. It had no side effects that I could feel and worked miracles for me where all the other drugs (Triptone, Dramamine, the patch) didn't give anything but their side effects. If you know somebody in Japan, they can bring it. I beleive it is sold over the counter in their pharmacies.

Are you sure of the name? Google can't find "Semper QL". I was in Japan recently, my wife is going back this summer, inlaws live in Tokyo.
I have an interrest in this as my wife gets sea sick and has not found a drug that works without bad side effects, Dramamine knocks her out.

Did you save an empty container?
