I want to share some feedback from Tulum & Diving.

First of all I want to apologize to all people which gave me recommendations in the Forum for not organize the diving better.
The reason for this was that the companies which I got recommended where fully booked or where to far from TULUM.

So now some facts:
1) Don't stay in Tulum if you want to go reef diving or to Cozumel... to far!
2) We booked diving with two different companies: Bahiadivers & Maya Diving

First dive day was with Bahia Divers. We where picked up at the hotel at 8:30, drove 30 min and had to wait for nearly 45 min before all arrived and we could start diving. Our divemaster was ok, the equipment not recommendable. The first dive was Rancho Vejto. Nice reef dive max 17 meter. saw some great fish, lobster & seaturtel
Second dive: Cuevitas... not worth a dive...
Our feeling (and even other people on the dive) was that the center was little chaotic and that the boss was only looking for $$$. We even had to fill in a feedback form when we where sitting in the van for transportation back.. I am sure they trow all "bad" ones away.

Second dive day we decided to go with our dive center from the Hotel (Dreams Tulum), Maya Diving.
OK, the equipment was ok except the wetsuit which had more holes than a fishing net.
We went to the 2(dos) Ojos Cenote.
We had a great instructor Miguel who has been diving for more than 20 years and we felt 100% safe and confident.
We where 4 in our group which made this dive to a great experience.
I can recommend this Cenote for a first experience with the Cenote diving in Mexico.

I can warmly recommend Miguel at this operator, I don't know anything about the rest of the team.

I am happy you were ok with Maya Diving as they are who I would have suggested. I dove with them in 2005 and liked they but do not know if they had changed since them.
