The first day we dove Hens and Chickens but first we drove to Davis to check the viz. From the boat it seemed to be about 30 feet
Hens and chickens had no current which really has been an issue for the upper keys the last few weeks.
It also had no viz 10 feet at best and at times 5(reminded me of beach 8th rockaway NYC). The reef is so close to shore and shallow that its been hit hard by coral bleaching.

Today we dove Alligator and what a surprise 40/50 feet viz with a noticeable current. There were no jellies to speak of. We stopped at a patch reef and they were there by the hundreds!

The water seems a bit cooler lately(computer said 86).

Topside conditions have been fantastic and fcst to stay this way thru the weekend

Cool shots!! I noticed the bleaching when I was down your way last weekend. Many of the coral restoration sites seem to have major bleaching on the transplanted coral which was really too bad. Hopefully you'll get a bit of cooling of the water so the bleaching is halted.

It happened last year but did recover. The planted staghorn took a hit but did come back for the most part. They do plant so many that it does give them a fighting chance
