MTBrider,
Thats a bummer that you couldn't find us. We were certainly noticeable. I had Scubaboard.com on my truck. Its really too bad that you couldn't find us. Photos and stories will be up soon. Oh the stories, what a hoot.

Gee now you just rub it in why don't you! :bash: Where about did you guys end up camping?

That's ok though, hopefully I can make it next year! :beerchug:

Wow there were tons of people at that campground, I didn't realize it was so large. So I drove around and around but didn't see anything, asked a few people, nobody knew. Well at least I got out for a drive!
Oh man, what a bummer!
I was hoping that people would have replied to this original post much sooner because I could have filled in all the details. I was gone at 6:00 am Thurday and thrashing to get stuff loaded and organized the day before so I was unable to get online. I'm afraid all these posts were in vain. When I didn't see any confirmation posts I figured everyone lost interest.
Damn!

Next year we'll do it right.

But I can tell you it was a ripper!

I missed you guys too, though we ended up camping at ocean cove anyway and had a great time. Next time I'll commit sooner and get better details.

How about some GPS coordinates for us lame ones on the next campout?
That's a good idea.
Problem is, no internet up there and no cell service.
The store was somewhat telephone challenged also.
I should have made a few signs to mark where we were. I'll never forget to do that again.
I would like to do another party maybe in September to make it up to you guys. We could have just a Scubaboard Norcal event. Same spot, Ocean Cove, but it would have to be just a weekend for me.
Sound like fun?
Get up there Friday night, dive all day Saturday, party Saturday night, leave Sunday.

Of course everyone is welcome again.

Boats are alway good. It gets hard to run tons of people out on one boat.

I'm working up a report for the last one, and I think Jim Ernst has a bunch of incriminating photos he's going to post so stay tuned.

To any that missed Eric’s Ocean Cove 2005 camping dive trip. Don’t over look it next year “I know I won’t”
For me to say that for four days I camped and went diving with a few friends and a bunch of strangers would be false and would not begin to describe a weekend where every one pitched in helped out and no one was a stranger longer then it took to introduce your self.
Getting out of my truck, I was greeted by the “Great One” Eric. Who introduced me to Jon Rosie Dylan Alex and Lauren who came from L.A. and still beat me there. Then there was Justin who also came from farther and got there before me.
I decided that to complain about my 1hr 15min drive would fall on deaf ears so I kept it to myself
Later that night a small white car drove up and the passenger asked if this was “Eric’s party”, It was Yukiko and Jenny, as I would soon find out.
The next day was Friday and it all ended on Sunday. In that time met Jim Ishie Marcus Yoriko, john Steve Tracey Larry and more that I cannot put a name to.
Leaving on Sunday was difficult after meeting 20-30 of the best people all sharing the common interest to have fun oh ya and to dive our hearts out.
I look forward to next years camp out and know that I will be diving with as many of you that I can until then.

GREAT JOB ERIC!!!!

Hey- I found you guys! What a great trip. Eric, thank you so much for making it happen once again. Gary was right in saying that "no one was a stranger past the introductions". It was so great to hang out with old friends and meet a group of new poeple who, by the and of the trip, felt like old friends. Can't wait until the next one.

salut,

Heh - you guys were camped right across the field from us. I asked at least a couple of people in your group if you were the "lingzilla" group, but they looked at me like I was nuts.
