Well, we're only 5 days away from the annual North Coast dive party and I've been working like crazy trying to make sure all last minute details are taken care of.
One of the last things I need to do is compile a list of people who will be up at Ocean Cove on Thursday and what time. I need this so we can coordinate a time to meet up there and claim our sites. If we trickle in then we might end up spread out and we don't want that. So if you are planning on being one of the dedicated early birds, please let me know.
Second, if you are planning to be up there at all even if just for a day I would like to get a final count of people who have been following the posts leading up to the party and would like to check it out.
I need to know this info so I can make sure to bring enough stuff. Nothing worse than having a bunch of people show up that you didn't expect and be taken off guard. But, the more people the better the party, and so far this will be the best one yet!
So please, if you are definitely going, please, please, please respond to this thread with a simple (count me in - the day - and time)
Even if you have already confirmed please re-post because I will be using the responses to this post as a final roster.
Bring your licence and abalone report card!
Bring as many tanks as you think you'll need.
Bring ALL dive gear you think you'll need including spare gear.
Bring your own camping gear and bedding needs (tent/sleeping bag-pad, chair,
lantern, cooler, etc.)
Bring money for campsite, $16.00 night.
Bring your beverage of choice and some basic dry food items for snacks and as a back up.
If you are staying over bring some food item to share for the saturday night potluck. Many people bring stuff that is pre-prepped and combine it with fresh seafood that they get. Others who don't hunt bring stuff like salads or side dishes (always good). If you don't know how to cook then hit the deli and get something there.
If you don't bring anything, fine, but I will make you eat a fish eyeball sauteed in garlic butter and white wine or a sea urchin wrapped in kelp and rice with wasabi, your choice. (kidding)
If you need to use a stove I have plenty of firepower and hardware.
OK, who want's to go first?
