So just a quick followup...

I had Lasik done at Pacific Clearvision in Eugene, Oregon the week after Thanksgiving. It's been about a month and a half now, and I went from 20/1200 to 20/20 (20/15 in my right eye).

The procedure wasn't horrible. I had read that the sensation was similar to pushing down on your eyelid. It would be more accurate to describe it as someone pushing down hard on your eyelid, while tracing over the top of it with a toothpick (when they make the flap). The actual zapping with the laser is painless... just that damn flap cutting feels funny. Not painful (eyes are numbed), but you're definetly aware that someone is cutting a hole in your eye.

Vision improved DRAMATICALLY right after surgery, and was seeing great about 6 hours after.

I'm thrilled. No complications other than the normal eye dryness.

Highly recommended... no more contacts for me while diving anymore!

20/200 to 20/15 and a little eye dryness that is passing....I had the intralase which uses a laser for the flap removal. Kinda creepy to smell you eyeball burning but well worth it. Super eyes now!
