Largest in what respect? Number of students or certifications or PADI material sales? Go to PADI.com but I still don't think you will be privy to that information.

I'd imagine that those details (turnover/revenue/sales) would form the basis of confidential business information, and wouldn't be released by PADI publicly.

You might want to search for 'Platinum CDCs' and/or 'Platinum Course Directors' (where they work) etc... as that status is heavily based upon certifications per year.

well, just because the director is platinum doesn't mean the actual dive center is big or famous ;)
I don't want to know their B/S or I/S, I want to know the largest centers in terms of certifications (the more students == the more certifications == the more revenue) ... I would think this information was widely available, but i haven't found anything online.

Sport Chalet is the largest certifier of divers in the world and PADI's biggest customer. I would have guessed something like ProDive would have been the largest CDC once upon a time, most people dont have very large IDC/ITC anymore. I'm always surprised and delighted when I see a class of maybe 12.

You ARE aware how a course director gets Platinum status?

Famous has nothing to do with it, or the question the OP asked. Certification count does - which is what the OP asked.

HAHA Good point.

I was going to add, any CD with Plat status especially year after year, would actually be pretty well known just by default.....:)

I'm pretty sure I can write that top 10 list

In the second quarter 2011 Undersea_Journal PADI recognized 58 individuals with Platinum status.
What is required for that status?
100 or more professional certifications in the previous year, 30 of those had to be at either the divemaster, assitant instructor or open water instructor level, and a 70 percent or higher professional-level continuing education ratio.

well, one of the managing directors of the largest PADI CDCs in Thailand is not a platinum CD... the director of the largest PADI CDC in Central America is not PLATINUM CD... while, there's a small dive center in the Perhentian Islands that actually closes for 6 months, whose owner is a platinum CD - how do you explain that?
