Has anyone stayed at the Landmark? The location is nowhere near my first choice, but I can get a 2BR/2BA ocean view (5th floor) residence from now through November for (seriously) $75 a night. At that price, it seems too good to pass up. Thoughts? Suggestions for dive ops/restaurants nearby? (I've been to Coz numerous times but always stayed in town.) Gracias!

Others with better information will be able to be more specific and may correct my understanding but fwiw, $75 a night sounds really great. You're basically at the Money Bar, so south of the marina, which means any op should be able to pick you up there, and you're on the north end of the marine park so very few sites will be out of reach, for example, paradise reef may be a no go unless you're willing to taxi back to the Landmark from the marina. My guess is that you're an $8-$9US taxi, one way, from town. The Money Bar has some snorkeling which isn't great, but isn't horrible. The menu and food at the Money Bar is good imo. I've eaten there 6 or so times. I don't think there are many other eating options close, but could be wrong about that.

I usually stay at Casa del Mar. Many nice things about that place. If I was looking to go now until November and could stay at the Landmark for $75 a night, I'd stay there. Especially if I could split the price with someone in the other bedroom. Sounds like a good deal.

Absolutely take it.
rent a car or bicycle.
easy bike ride to town.
cabs out front

I stayed with a friend September 2016. The condos are as nice as they look in the pix.
Obvious pros and cons, depending on your view. Far from town, 10$ cab ( use pesos),close to reefs etc. if you wanted to do morning and afternoon dives, they can easily drop you at the money bar in between.
We picked up groceries, did a few of our own meals. Money bar was good and gave 10% off to landmark guests and had a nice happy hour. ( I think it was two for one. )Grounds where nice as was the pool, and we were the only ones in it.
Dove with Deep Blue, you won’t have a problem with anyone picking you up at the pier. We did do a twilight/night dive on our own, outside of the money bar. Deep blue let us take tanks the afternoon, return the next day. I was pleasantly surprised with the night dive, saw much more than I had expected. Two schools of squid, lobster, crab‘s.
I would definitely stay again for the right price

We stayed there earlier this year as well (coincidentally also from Denver). Sounds like that may be the exact unit we were in. We loved it. I've been to Cozumel several times & stayed at a variety of places; from All-Inclusives in the north & south to smaller places near downtown. All have pros & cons, but The Landmark was as good as any. Probably the nicest/newest rooms we've had. Full kitchens with new appliances, etc.

That deal is making me want to come back. Meet you at the airport!

That does sound too good to be true, which is a sign that it may be. So many rental scams on the news these days. Don't get cheated and arrive without a place to stay.

Agreed. Your rate doesn't seem crazy for that location and time; we looked at a 2 bedroom ocean front over the week that was both American and Mexican schools' springbreak in April and I was shocked as it was very low $200s.

Who did you book through?

Prices start at $525,000? Last week a of Sept 2b/2b is 225/night?

That's more than twice what we pay at the AI Occidental with 10 dives for two!
