I've heard stories of and seen first hand a very large fish in Lake Travis. It's probably just a massive carp but it appears blue in color using a dive light and is very large reminding me of a grouper.
It's a very slow and lethargic fish that likes to get up close and personal. I had him hovering about one foot in front of me today for a very good look.
Anyone have any idea what this might be? My best guess is a small mouth buffalo carp but I'm not sure why the coloring is different from other carps I've seen.
This puppy is big.
