I'm going up to the UP 27-28 June, but it appears Shipwreck Tours is having work done on their boat, won't be ready till 2 July. Any other options for dives: other operator, shore dives, etc, within about 2 hours of Marquette?

Munising has some diving easy to do and you should be able to rent a pontoon if no charter availble, Ken it is protected with grand Island, about four wrecks. Then there is fred he has the big tour ship in marquette, and has a charter in around copper harbor.

Have fun and enjoy those wrecks.

Any hint who would have a pontoon rental? That may be the way to go. From what I'm familiar with (been there, done Smith Moore and Bermuda), don't remember much that is shore-diveable. If I'm wrong, let me know! Bermuda definitely doabel with pontoon, maybe some others, I'll have to research that.

Thanks for the tips!

Ken

Never mind the first question, (I think), went to google, got a lead on Seaberg Pontoon in Munising. Sent an e-mail, will call tomorrow.

Oh and the other thing is that there is camping on the water where you pull up the pontoon, and keep it over night for a easy tank change and boating when not diving. Mooring bouy's should be set when you get there also.

It is a very fun time.
